Handing an assignment to Andri
Hand an assignment to Andri and it does the work inside the linked matter. You choose how: Andri can Run in the background on its own and report back on the assignment, or you can Work together in the matter chat, where you watch and steer.
While Andri works in the background, the assignment shows Andri as its assignee. When Andri is done or needs you, it hands the assignment back to the person who handed it over.
Before you start
Link the assignment to a matter, as Tracking work with Assignments explains.
You need access to the matter.
Assignments are part of the Business plan.
Hand an assignment to Andri
Open the assignment.
Click Delegate to Andri. You can also choose Andri (delegate) as the assignee.
Choose Run in the background or Work together.
With Run in the background, the status moves to In progress and Andri starts on its own. With Work together, the status moves to In progress and the matter chat opens on a thread for this assignment, where Andri starts working while you follow along.
You can also hand work over in two other ways:
When you create an assignment, choose a matter and then Andri (delegate) as the assignee. Andri starts in the background as soon as you click Create.
In a comment, type @Andri followed by your instruction. Andri starts in the background with that comment as its instruction.
Follow Andri's work
While Andri holds an assignment, a tag on the board and in the table shows where it stands, and a card under Activity in the assignment gives you the next step.

Reply and Ask for a change put @Andri in the comment box, so the comment you send becomes Andri's next instruction. Documents Andri creates for the assignment appear on the assignment, ready to open or download.
Take the work back
Click Stop on Andri's card. Andri stops and the assignment is yours again. After working together, the thread stays in the matter chat.
Notifications
When Andri finishes a background run, needs your input or stops, the person who handed the work over gets a notification in their Inbox and, if they use the iPhone app, a push notification.
Credits
Andri's work in a background run uses credits from your firm's allowance. When you work together, Andri works in the matter chat and the messages there use credits as any chat does. See Understanding credit usage.
