Buying extra credits
Admins can buy extra credits when the firm has used its monthly credit allowance for the current billing period. You choose an amount between 10 and 100 in your billing currency, pay by card or iDEAL, and the credits are available as soon as the payment completes. Extra credits count for the current billing period only.
Before you start
Buying credits is an admin task, and it needs an active paid subscription.
Only admins can buy credits. Members and support-role members are asked to contact an account administrator or wait for the next billing period.
Credit top-ups are not available on the free plan.
Credit top-ups are not available once a cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current period.
Buy extra credits
The purchase starts from the Monthly limit reached dialog, which opens in chat and in the draft editor once the firm's credits for the period are used up.
Under Choose an amount, enter a whole amount between 10 and 100 in your billing currency, or select one of the preset amounts.
Click Continue to payment, which also shows the amount you chose.
Pay by card, or with iDEAL if your firm is billed in euros.
The credits are added to the current billing period as soon as the payment completes, and everyone in the firm can use them straight away. The purchase gets its own invoice, with VAT added on top of the amount you chose, next to your subscription invoices.
How many credits you get
The rate depends on the currency your firm is billed in.

The dialog also estimates how many further research prompts the amount buys, calculated from your firm's average prompt cost so far this period.
Extra credits count for the current billing period only
Extra credits are added to the allowance of the billing period you bought them in, and they are drawn on only after that period's plan allowance is gone. Whatever is left when the subscription renews is not carried over: the new period starts with the plan allowance alone.
Buy the amount you need to finish the current period. Credits bought today do not increase next period's allowance.
Support credits are a separate product and behave differently: that prepaid balance does not expire, and it funds the work of support-role members rather than the firm's plan allowance.
Check what you bought
In Company, open Usage. Admins see how many extra credits were bought in the current billing period and how much of that balance is left, directly under the plan allowance, together with the rest of the firm's usage figures.
