Roles and permissions in Andri
Andri has three roles: Admin, Member and Support. The role controls what someone can do at company level, such as billing, team management and settings. Access to an individual case is separate and follows ownership and sharing, not the role.
The three roles
Admin: everything a Member can do, plus billing, team management and company settings.
Member: creates and works in cases, documents and templates. Each Member occupies a billable seat.
Support: works in cases like a Member, but does not occupy a billable seat. AI work is funded by the firm's prepaid support credits.
The role is set when you invite the colleague, and an admin can change it later.
What each role can do

Case access does not follow your role
Being an admin gives no access to a colleague's cases. You can open a case if you own it or if the owner shared it with you, and there is no override for any role.
Only the owner of a case can share it, revoke a share, rename it, archive it, delete it or transfer it to a colleague. A case can be shared with up to five colleagues, all of whom must be active members of the same firm.
There is no owner role
Admins are equal to each other. Andri has no separate owner or billing-owner role, and there is no button that hands the firm to someone else.
What Andri does enforce is that at least one admin always remains. The last remaining admin cannot be given another role or removed, and in Members you cannot change your own role or remove yourself. To hand the firm over, promote a colleague to Admin, then ask that colleague to change your role or remove you.
The Support role
Support is for part-time helpers such as paralegals and assistants who need to work in cases without taking a billable seat. Your firm gets one Support seat for every billable member, so a firm with four Admins and Members can have four support-role members.
Support-role work is funded by the firm's prepaid support credits, which are spent at twice the standard rate. Reading is always free and is never blocked. When the support balance runs out, support-role members can still read everything they have access to, but they cannot create or change work product until an admin tops the balance up.
Moving someone between a billable role and Support locks their role for 30 days. Plan the change before you make it, because it cannot be reversed sooner.
What happens when you remove a member
Removing someone does not hand their work to the firm. Their cases, drafts and conversations stay with them, every share they granted is removed, and the colleagues who were working in those cases lose access.
Cases the removed person owned are not transferred and are no longer reachable by anyone else in the firm.
Cases that colleagues had shared with them are revoked.
Removing an Admin or a Member reduces your seat count straight away. Removing a support-role member changes nothing on your subscription.
Removing someone who has not accepted their invitation yet simply cancels the invitation.
Before you remove someone, ask them to transfer any case the firm needs to keep. Only the owner can start a transfer, so once the account is removed there is no way to hand the case over.
